Assessment: A biomechanical and gait evaluation are done to assess how the muscles and joints are functioning. Next, an evaluation of the most common shoes worn is done to get a good base of historic gait patterns. Based on the findings, treatment options of exercise prescription, footwear and/or custom made orthotics are presented. We are here to educate and provide options, but your health is in your hands!

Assessment plus orthotics: The same process of a thorough assessment is completed and then a 3-dimensional cast of the feet is done in order to make the custom made orthotics in our in-house lab. The two types of casting we do are slipper plaster cast and foam box molds.

Bracing: Custom or off the shelf knee or ankle bracing. Common reasons for use are post-operative, chronic joint issues or prophylactic.

A combination of massage, acupuncture, guasha and cupping techniques are used to relieve pain and tension. Treatment is performed by a Registered Massage Therapist. Treatment is billed as massage therapy for extended insurance policy holders.

Acupuncture stimulates the release of endorphins – the body’s natural pain-relieving neurohormones – through the insertion of needles into specific anatomical points (acupuncture points) to encourage natural healing. Therapeutic effects include:

*Pain relief
*Increased energy
*Improved mood
*Improved body function

Acupuncture needles are rounded at the tip so that they slide smoothly through tissue and are unlikely to cause bleeding. Needles are left in place for 15 to 30 minutes during which time the practitioner may manipulate the needles in order to strengthen or reduce the flow of Qi.

Reflexology is based on the ancient principle that reflex areas in the feet, hands and ears relate to the internal organs and other structures of the body. Pressure is applied to these areas to bring health and balance to the body through the stimulation of its own inherent healing capacity.

Reflexology may help with muscle relaxation, improved digestive & circulation processes, lymphatic flow and stress relief. This makes reflexology an ideal complement to massage and other tactile therapies.

Reflexology is performed by a Registered Massage Therapist
